According to IRS earning $380,354 or more qualifies for membership in the top 1%. How about a 5 year goal to raise it to 5%? Sure we dream of a day when EVERYONE shares but you can't make a law out of it.  Maybe one of the things we Can get behind would be raising the 1% to 5 %. 


      Isn't competition and a greater number of your kind (the filthy rich) the best thing?  Could A Patriotic Billionaire commit to only rewarding themselves with a top income of , say, $20 million a year? The rest they could contribute colectively to an American Superfund to produce the next generation of  the 5%. This would include funding free colleges and national infrastructure projects like a Smart Electric Grid and other R & D that would increase social and economic mobility and security. In return for limiting their Personal Maximum Income (PMI) the top tier will pay NO OTHER TAXES (Surely something a lot of Tea Bagging Americans could get behind). Form a committee of the contributors to choose among the many applications and watch a Bigger Better Economy take off.
