My favorite songs are either incredibly deep or completely meaningless. It's up to you to decide which this is.

KnoBrain3r IdeaBank ElectionLottery USA
Knobrain3r Ideabank: ElectionLottery USA
ElectionLottery USA will be a way to fund elections without corporate lobbyists trying to outright buy politicians. The answer, a lottery that will chose 100 millionaires (2 people from every state) to win $1 million TAX-FREE to use however they want (usually it means people buying houses and cars , being good consumers). The extra money ,and there will be a lot, will go to pay down the National Debt, or fund Healthcare and any other projects that are worthwhile. If you check the box a $1 will go into the pot ( you can contribute extra, but only up to $1000). This is only open to those who file a US tax return. Non citizens could not win. This is an incentive to become legal and pay taxes. It inspires spending, citizenship, and will take election power away from the corporations. What's not to love?

The Fair-Pay Rule
Here's another silly idea to improve the economy
Establish a 100 to 1 Fair-Pay standard for businesses. The top earner or owner can make no more than 100 times what the lowest paid worker gets. That means, in a job starting at $17k per year, the boss could earn no more than $ 1.7 million a year. Any extra profits could go to building the business, hiring more workers or raising salaries across the board. If the Ultra-Rich are truly "Job Creators" then let them prove it by limiting their own greed, investing in more American Jobs, higher pay and greater employee satisfaction and fairness. Now I know what you're thinking, "The damn Government can't tell me how to run my business!" True, a company wouldn't HAVE to abide by this rule but they WOULD have to pay a higher tax rate than a company that doesn't. So a SMART business owner who's watching the bottom line and wants to inspire worker loyalty would be a fool to not abide by the Fair-Pay Rule.
Wow. Didn't realize I rhymed there.

A new plan for America. The X Bank
The X Bank-
There was a recent X Prize winner for oil spill cleanup innovation. The new idea was created cheaply and will reap great rewards. The US needs an entirely new Non-Governmental investment bank that operates like a nonprofit to look for the Next Big Idea! The bank would be entirely funded from the Top 50 corporations by sticking to a Maximum Personal Income (PMI) of $7 million a year. Is there Anyone that can argue that that is not enough for Anyone to be considered "Rich"?
Anyway, the projects that get the most funding will be decided in the most democratic way possible. ANYONE (like Yours truly here) could submit ideas. There can be weekly rounds of voting to narrow it down & to a set amount the XBank is willing to fund that year. The committees will consist of bank contributors and a rotating committe of scientists economists or whatever expert is needed. Other spots will be picked by random citizen drawing or by contributing to the banks funds.
The most important thing for the bank though will be education. Free colleges and scholarships will be a big selling point. How great will your business be when you can fund Exactly the right employees who already know Your Software and Your organizations. Franchises like KFC might want to fund KFC management courses with an XBank college with all the newest equipment from American manufactures.
All of this effort is to change the 1% to the 5% in 5 years. Participation from the top companies is not mandatory but could become a source of pride and patriotism and a smart investment in an America that has been kindest to them over anyone else.

Power to the People (and from them too)
I'm a firm believer in putting power in people's hands, both political and electrical. We've all heard stories about houses covered with solar panels being able to make their electric meters run backwards. We should strive to make personal power production combined with a national electric Smart Grid a priority. Imagine city rooftops covered in photocells and shorelines dotted with windmills and tidal generators Use interstate mediums. There's a lot of wasted space there. Maybe some wind turbines(powered by traffic wind!) or more solar panels that can help supply The Smart Grid or at least provide highway lighting. Go even more Green by leasing space to companies to grow biodiesel plants in the medium. Use abandoned mines as storage for compressed air that can be used to run air-powered generators. At some point everyone who needs light, heat/air conditioning, and power to cook will have it, cleanly, for free or next to nothing. Think about all the Jobs all these projects could provide. Think about escaping the stranglehold the utility companies have on America. Maybe someday every home will produce ALL of it's own energy and businesses will pay US to use the extra!
